Why The Right Shapewear Changes Everything (and some exciting news)

If you've ever tried on the right piece of shapewear and thought, "why didn't I do this sooner?" — you already know the secret. The right foundation piece doesn't just smooth; it changes how your clothes fit, how you stand, and honestly, how you feel walking into a room.

The Real Benefits of Great Shapewear
Great shapewear isn't about hiding your body — it's about supporting it so everything else works better:
Smoother lines under clothing — that structured top or fitted dress finally drapes the way it's supposed to
Better posture — real support (especially wire-free lift) encourages you to stand taller without thinking about it
All-day comfort — the right piece disappears under your clothes instead of fighting you all day
Confidence in fit — when your foundation is right, everything you layer over it looks intentional
The key word is right. Not all shapewear is created equal, and cheap, ill-fitting pieces can do more harm than good — digging in, rolling, or creating new lines instead of smoothing them out.
A Favorite Comes Back: Meet True Embrace
For years, many of you knew and loved Ruby Ribbon — the wire-free support and lift that so many women, myself included, came to rely on. I found Ruby Ribbon in 2016 and it was life changing. I was able to ditch my bra and found better support as well as comfort from a cami. When Ruby Ribbon ceased operations, it left a real gap for a lot of us. I had customers reaching out to me - "Linda, have you found anything that can actually replace Ruby Ribbon?" The answer was a sad no.
Here's the good news: those beloved products are getting a second life through a new company called True Embrace. Founders Kimber Maderazzo and Rob Lafferty didn't want to see this innovation disappear. Kimber had actually worked closely with Ruby Ribbon on product design and branding years before, and that experience gave her a deep appreciation for what made the products special — real support and lift without an underwire, and a devoted community of women who loved sharing it with each other.
When the opportunity came to purchase Ruby Ribbon's intellectual property — the designs, the fit technology, the trademarks — Kimber and Rob invested personally to make sure the e truly one-of-a-kind products didn't disappear. True Embrace is women-owned, privately funded, and built with a clear mission: preserve what made Ruby Ribbon great while creating the next generation of products around real women's lives.
What's available now: a curated selection of remaining Ruby Ribbon legacy inventory (limited sizes while supplies last), plus tanks featuring that same wire-free lift, smoothing, and support so many of us came to love.
What's coming: by the end of the year, True Embrace expects to restock fan-favorite essentials, along with new products building on everything they've learned about what women actually want from their intimate apparel.

Why I'm Sharing This
I've seen firsthand how much of a difference the right foundation piece makes for a woman's confidence and how her clothes fit. That's exactly why I loved these products in the first place, and why I'm excited to see them get a real future instead of quietly disappearing.
Below, you'll see a few before-and-after looks featuring legacy Ruby Ribbon pieces so you can see the difference for yourself.
