From the Boardroom to the Dressing Room — My Story & Why I Do What I Do

It all started with a five-year-old girl who already knew exactly what she wanted to wear.
It was picture day at school, and I picked this dress out myself! My mother curled and styled my hair, and I felt so good, so special, so pretty. Something in this little girl's heart clicked — a deep, unshakeable love for color, for style, and for the way I felt that day. This was the day a fashionista was born! And, all these years later, not much has changed.
My name is Linda Cardullo and I am the founder of Blooming Color Studio. I am a Certified Image Consultant specializing in color analysis, body type styling, and capsule wardrobing — and I am absolutely passionate about helping women feel radiant, confident, and beautiful every single day.
But before any of that, I spent nearly 30 years in corporate America in various Human Resources Leadership roles. And the story of how those two worlds finally came together is exactly what I want to share with you today.
THIRTY YEARS OF PEOPLE — AND A PASSION THAT NEVER QUIT
For almost three decades, my professional life was built around people. As an HR Director, I spent my career understanding what makes people tick, what they need to thrive, and how to help them show up as their best selves every single day.
But quietly — alongside spreadsheets, performance reviews, and boardroom meetings — that five-year-old fashionista never went away.
Style. Color. The transformative power of wearing the right thing - the confidence boost.
I have always believed that how we dress affects how we feel, how we carry ourselves, and how we show up in the world. I saw it in the women around me every day — the ones who walked into a room like they owned it, and the ones who shrank a little, hoping no one would notice them. So often the difference came down to one simple thing: confidence. And so often that confidence was tied to how they felt in their own skin and their own clothes.
So, while I was leading HR teams by day, I was building a styling business on the side — quietly, steadily, learning everything I could about color theory, body type dressing, and what it truly means to help a woman feel beautiful in her own unique way.
Thirty years of understanding people. Fifteen years of nurturing a passion for style. Two worlds quietly preparing to become one.
THE PLAN — AND THE BEAUTIFUL DETOUR
My plan was simple. Work hard, retire at the end of 2026, and then pour everything I had into Blooming Color Studio full time.
But life — in its wonderfully unpredictable way — had other ideas.
In January of this year, I made the decision to retire early and pursue my dream full time! It was a scary move and one that stretched me greatly! But as one month turned to two and then three, something surprising happened.
I Felt Free!
Free to do what I had always been building toward. Free to show up every single day for the women I was meant to serve. Free to finally make Blooming Color Studio everything I had always dreamed it could be.
That little five-year-old girl? She was absolutely delighted.
WHY COLOR AND STYLE — AND WHY NOW
Last year I earned my certifications in both color analysis and body type styling — adding formal credentials to nearly 15 years of hands-on experience in the style and beauty industry. I am also a proud capsule wardrobe specialist with Storyline Collection, helping women build versatile, effortless wardrobes that work for their real lives.
And here is what I know after all these years of working with women:
Getting dressed should never feel hard.
It should never feel like a battle with your body or your closet. It should never leave you standing in front of a full wardrobe saying "I have nothing to wear." It should feel effortless, joyful, and deeply YOU.
